Current Openings

The Wauchula Police Department is currently accepting applications for Sworn positions.  Interested applicants should complete the Pre-Screening Application below and submit it to cleconte@wauchulapolice.com.



Law Enforcement Applicants

Must be a United States citizen

Must be at least 19 years of age

Must possess a High School Diploma or GED

Must currently be a certified Law Enforcement officer in Florida or currently enrolled in a Florida Law Enforcement academy

Must have a valid Florida driver's license


Screening Procedures

If chosen for processing you will be required to submit to the following screening procedures. If you are not willing to submit to these procedures please do not submit an application.

1. Successfully pass the Background Investigation, which includes but is not limited to a credit check, driving check, criminial check, previous employment check, and reference checks

2. Interview with an oral examination board

3. Submit to a drug test

4. Polygraph examination

5. Psycological examination

6. Physical examination

7. Written basic knowledge test


If you are willing to submit to the above procedures and meet the minimum qualifications please complete the Pre-Screening application below. Following investigation of the application and you are chosen to advance in the process you will be contacted for additional required steps.
